Fingerprint sensors help improve vaccination management in Africa

Eric Wicklund wrote this article about mobile fingerprint systems being used in Africa to avoid wasteful re-immunizations.

According to Wicklund, more than 50 percent of a limited supply of vaccines is wasted, leaving millions of Africans without vaccinations.

Wicklund wrote wrote: “Once the sensor captures the subject’s fingerprint, the user is recorded in VaxTrac’s mobile vaccine registry, which offers real-time reporting for matching patient vaccine records and managing the supply chain.”
