For Applicants:
To check on the status of your Live Scan results, you will need your ATI number and the Date of Birth (DOB) used during the Live Scan transaction.
The California Department of Justice (DOJ) provides web portal called Applicant Background Check Status, once you type in your ATI number and DOB they will provide you with a status for both the DOJ and FBI background check.
There will be two different statuses provided on this page, it will either say “In Progress” or “Complete – Date”. Once you see the “Complete – Date”, that means you can contact your requesting agency, as they have received the Live Scan results for your application. If the status remains on “In Progress”, this means the DOJ is still processing your background check and you have to wait.
If you type in your ATI number and DOB and no results are provided, this means your Live Scan service provider did not successfully transmit your Live Scan. You will need to contact them to ensure they have transmitted the Live Scan and have received a “Complete” status on their Live Scan device.
If you have any issues with your Live Scan or need additional assistance, simply contact the Certifix support team and we will be happy to assist, simply call 1(800) 710-1934 or email us at support@certifixlivescan.com.

Hello,
I recently submitted my RN license application. I had live scan performed well over a month ago. I am interested in learning my results. I haven’t heard from the board either. In the past I had issues when I had a life scan performed. I have never committed any crimes .Yet it took me well over a year to clear it up. I would like to know if I could be having the same problem. Thank you!!!
Please let me know the results of my fingerprinting.
Please call the DOJ hotline at (917) 227-4557, make sure to provide the automated phone system with your ATI number (on the bottom of your form) and your Date of Birth.
