Is Apple's IPhone the Future of Live Scan Fingerprinting?

According to a Reuters article, Apple Inc. is exploring integrating fingerprint technology into their iPhones. The presumed features of the upcoming iPhone 5S would include a sensor that would let you unlock your phone with a fingerprint instead of a passcode–heightening security for devices.

Last year, Apple, bought a mobile security firm called AuthenTec for $356,000,000 without actually commenting on Apple’s intentions.

What is Apple going to do with this fingerprint technology?
It seems digital fingerprint technology, such as Live Scan fingerprinting, is the way of the future. There’s endless possibilities integrating this technology into mobile devices.

Imagine Live Scan locations–mobile and walk-in–armed to the teeth with iPhone 5s. Certifix Live Scan would be able to fingerprint at an even faster rate and higher volume. Background checks could be done literally in the palm of a certfiied Live Scan operator’s hand. A DOJ Live Scan (Department of Justice Live Scan) with that kind of speed and efficiency would only making hiring processes at nursing schools, security guard training centers, etc. that much easier.

Only time will tell what Apple is really up to, but we can hope this becomes a reality. Currently, Certfix Live Scan features accurate and current technology with the use of high-end equipment through walk-in Live Scan locations and mobile Live Scan. Certfix Live Scan doesn’t have Live Scan iPhones yet, but it’s the quickest and simplest method thus far available to the public.
